Neighborhood: Chelsea
Type of Place: Beer Bars

Description:

One of the hottest places to hit this Summer is The Lot, a beer garden located beneath the High Line at 30th Street near 10th Avenue. Cool steel and cold beer make for a perfect combination at this watering hole run by Colicchio & Sons. Beers run $7 with several local brews on tap, including High Line Elevated Wheat by Brooklyn Brewing, Liquid Gold made by the Captain Lawrence Brewing Company of New York, and Sixpoint's Sehr Crisp Pilsner brewed in Brooklyn. You'll also find a modest selection of wines from the East and West Coast. We spotted a chardonnay, reisling, rose and zinfandel at $9 a glass. Non-alcoholic beverages are also available along with food from some of the city's hottest street vendors. There were lines forming at Eddie's Pizza and The Taco Truck, as well as Karilla's Korean BBQ. The Lot is the perfect spot to take a break from your High Line walk or to hang out with some friends. Judging by the crowds you can expect it to be around for many more years to come. The Lot is open 11am to 10pm Sunday to Wednesday, and from 11am to 11pm Thursday to Saturday.
