CBGB is gone and in it's place is designer John Varvatos' swanky new boutique with just a bit of grunge. Some of the original posters from the home of the Ramones still exisits, as does some of the graffiti, alongside stylish duds, designer shoes and old LPs. Unfortunately, the CBGB crowd probably couldn't afford the $1,200 nickel grey button peak lapel jacket, or the $450 dyed calf skin plain toe shoes. Those folks will have to reminisce in the back alley before it gets gentrified.
