When your name is New York Burger Co. you have some very high standards to live up to. Afterall, this is home to some pretty great burgers. Shake Shack, 5 Napkin and Bill's Burger are just a few that come to mind. So, when entering New York Burger Co. I must admit I had my reservations. But I was pleasantly surprised.
Even though the restaurant has the feel of a fast-food joint, the staff was helpful and polite. Most burgers here come in a regular or a smaller slider version which is actually large enough to fill you up. We counted at least nine signature burgers on the menu. Among them, the Chelsea topped with cherrywood smoked bacon and Thousand Island sauce, and something they call the Skyscraper; a double burger with 12 ounces of beef. Dipping sauces range from BBQ and chili ketchup to maple dijon.
I opted for the New York Burger topped with cheddar. The burger, made with 100% Angus beef, was nice and plump with just the right amount of char. It went perfectly with my order of over-sized onion rings chock full of greasy goodness.
New York Burger Co. also sells hot dogs, sandwiches, chili and salads, along with smoothies and shakes making it a great place to bring the kids.
