Details:

Motorino chef and owner, Mathieu Palombino, has opened his Bowery Diner. But this is no greasy spoon. This diner includes a illuminated yellow bar, mix and match chairs and burgundy booths. Unlike Motorino, you won't find any pizzas one the menu here. What you will find a raw bar with lobster, snow crab and oysters. Appetizers include steak tartar ($12) and escargot ($16) alongside French onion soup ($10). But you will also find your diner classics like a cheeseburger deluxe with cheddar ($15), a Reuben with Russian dressing and swiss ($16), and mac and cheese. The menu also features roasted chicken with pan vegetables ($24), a NY Strip topped with a bearnaise sauce ($24), and roasted duck breast with apple sauce and shoestring fries. There are also designer cocktails like the "Down on the Bowery" made with Great King St. Scotch ($9), and the "Grace Kelly" with Bluecoat gin, Cocchi Americano, orange bitters and rose water ($12). They are also more than a dozen beers to choose from. The Bowery Diner isn't your ordinary diner, but these days there isn't anything ordinary about the Bowery. -Thomas Rafael
