Artfully designed Maison Close has arrived in SoHo at 15 Watts Street. By day, visitors will find an open-it cafe with ample outdoor seating. By night, when the curtains are closed it becomes a Manhattan hideaway.
The interior of the space is reminiscent of the "Belle Epoque" era of 20thcentury Europe, incorporating vibrant royal blues, warm dark oranges, and gold and brass hardware. Nods to the "Moulin Rouge" can be found throughout the dining room, from the tulip-shaped banquettes to the collection of exposed bulbs lighting the room from above.
Executive Chef Geoffrey Lechantoux, is offering sophisticated yet accessible French dishes ranging from elegant apéritifs to indulgent desserts. Several dishes are prepared tableside like Belle Sole Meunière, pan seared with a butter foam; Cote de Boeuf served with Peppercorn sauce; and Crepe Suzette with Grand Marnier flambee. The La Grande Tour features Beausoleil oysters, Australian shrimps, whole Maine lobster, king crab legs and caviar for the table to share.
